What Chitra Nakshatra means

Chitra is number 14 in the sequence of 27 nakshatras. In the equal 27-part sidereal system it runs from 23°20′ Virgo up to 6°40′ Libra, excluding the ending boundary. Your birth nakshatra is the segment occupied by the Moon at birth.

The ruler and the theme

Mars is the Vimshottari ruler assigned to Chitra. The original reflection theme used on this page is “craft and individuality.” The ruler is a timing-system reference; it does not mean Mars replaces the Moon or that its current period is active.

A useful reflection

Let the work express your taste without requiring every detail to be admired. Compare that question with your own experience. A nakshatra name does not establish a profession, a personality type, or an event that must occur.

The four padas of Chitra

Each pada spans 3°20′. The following ranges are reference boundaries, not four separate predictions.

  • Pada 1: 23°20′ Virgo to 26°40′ Virgo; corresponding Navamsa sign Leo.
  • Pada 2: 26°40′ Virgo to 0°00′ Libra; corresponding Navamsa sign Virgo.
  • Pada 3: 0°00′ Libra to 3°20′ Libra; corresponding Navamsa sign Libra.
  • Pada 4: 3°20′ Libra to 6°40′ Libra; corresponding Navamsa sign Scorpio.

How the personal check works

The returned lunar nakshatra name is compared with Chitra, and the returned quarter is shown alongside it. If the Moon is in another nakshatra, the result names that actual placement. Close to a boundary, the exact birth time and calculation settings deserve particular attention.

Nakshatra is not the same as a dasha prediction

The Moon’s position within its nakshatra is one input to the starting balance in Vimshottari dasha. The nakshatra ruler alone does not give the current mahadasha or its dates. Read the dasha guide if your question concerns a period rather than a natal placement.

Try your own chart

Use your recorded birth date, local birth time, and birthplace. Choose the correct location from the search results so that coordinates and the historical time zone can be resolved. If your birth time is uncertain, start with the birth-time guide before relying on houses or the Ascendant. The free result shows the placement actually returned for your birth details. A different placement is shown as a different result, and missing data is marked incomplete. The optional ₹1 reading interprets those specific facts. It does not turn a page title into a finding about your chart.

Common questions

Can I find Chitra from my name or birthday alone?

A name or a calendar birthday does not reliably establish the Moon’s birth nakshatra and pada. Use birth date, time, and location in a consistent sidereal calculation.

Is the chart check free?

Yes. The relevant placement check is free. Preparing an optional focused AI reading leads to a one-time ₹1 unlock; the full Life Report is a separate product.

Will this predict a specific event?

No. The check identifies chart facts and offers a traditional framework for reflection. It does not guarantee a relationship, job, income, health outcome, or future event.
